Message from the President

Dear WI members and PEI residents,

In the destructive wake of Hurricane Fiona we are highly encouraged and thankful as essential services are being opened up across PEI and we can get back to normal once again.

We thank members who participated and continue to do so in official and unofficial warming centres across PEI as this need continues in various areas. WI is well known to humbly and quietly work behind the scenes.  Checking on your neighbors and/or accepting assistance are both vitally important to all our well being.   We encourage you to continue to reach out and check with those in your community at all levels.

PEIWI send's our thanks to service workers, military, public officials and all organizations who are working tirelessly to bring our provincial community back together.

We want to remind all to be cognitive to let officials continue their restoration efforts, and assist those needing food, fuel or access to warming or Reception Centres

We also want to let you know we are thinking of all affected by Hurricane Fiona and understand the significant challenges facing in each industry and community.

Please take solace we will get through this together as our province rebuilds.
Take good care of each other,
Miriam Lank, President PEIWI

The provincial Board of Directors of the PEI Women’s Institute (PEIWI) is recommending branches to review current health guidelines.
